Nikon FM2 / Fuji Industrial 400

Our Kanchanaburi trip started at Thonburi railway station. The station is actually the old Bangkok Noi station as the old Thonburi station was given to Mahidol University a few years ago. The Ordinary trains 257 and 259 terminate at Nam Tok.

The trip is classed as a “tourist train” which means the SRT charge tourists B100 for any journey on it regardless of the length. It’s not cool but, whatever, it’s still a snip and a nice journey and if you’ve ever visited a national park or a historical monument in Thailand you’ll know it’s not the only way the Thai Government shamefully rinse tourists. I wouldn’t recommend the journey in March.

Another walk from Southsea through Old Portsmouth to Gunwharf Quays – this time shooting a roll of Kodak Ektar 25 that expired in 1990. I’m very pleased with how the roll turned out. I’ve uploaded the entire roll.

Himeji Castle – Hasselblad – Kodak Portra 400

Here’s an entire roll I took at Himeji Castle. A couple at the train station and the last picture was taken at Zenkōjidō Temple. Post here.

In the second pitcha you’ll notice a young lady whom I decided I wanted to be in the frame. I noticed her as she was wending her merry way down from the castle. I decided I would wait for her to come into the frame. Oh, I waited and I waited.

In order to get the attention of the lady in question I found it was necessary to gesticulate wildly and some would even say franticly towards her general whereabouts. An endeavour in which I believe I was truly successful. She looked squarely in my direction and at once gave me a look of the most ferocious intensity, a look that I captured forever on some kodak film at that very moment. Was it worth it? Not really.

You’ll just have to imagine the cherry blossoms.
