I bought another flash – a Nikon SB-600. This photo is from the first photos I took using two flashes. I decided to do the Laptop/Strobist thing as I thought it would be a good place to start.
Strobist Info SB-900 camera left @1/8 @14mm with homemade 6″ snoot and cheese grater grid. SB-600 on the laptop facing the screen @ 1/16 @24mm. A letter from the Inland Revenue finding a purpose in life taped to the screen to reflect the flash on to me. Triggered by Yongnuo RF-602.
Yes, I made a grid out of a cheese grater. I wasn’t having much luck making one from cardboard and with nothing else suitable to hand I had a rummage around and pulled out a cheese grater. I just balanced it on the table in front of the snoot and it made a world of difference. I will fully engineer it later on 🙂
I have also made a Strobist Info photo all nicely labelled very much in the style of Mr Dustin Diaz whose photography I have found inspiring since I embarked on my Strobism quest about 2 weeks ago. Probably unnecessary as I think people have a good idea of how this is done, but it was fun to do so I’ll post it later.
Strobist info and setup is here.
