From our trip to Kanchanaburi in March 2019. I wanted to take Emily on the train from Thonburi to Kanchanaburi – it wasn’t such great idea in the end as it’s pretty damn hot in Central Thailand in March.

I spotted the monks on the station platform and watched them walk to a little mom and pop store over the road to buy supplies for their journey. I ran over and stuck my camera in their faces walked over and politely asked in my best Thai if I could take their photo and they happily obliged.

The novice didn’t really have much say in the matter but I think I got a really great expression from him. The senior monk was actually posing and looked away deliberately.
