This is an entire roll taken on our first full day in Tokyo. I do so love uploading entire rolls so everyone can see how shabby my photography really is. For those of you who might be wondering – one roll of 120 film equals 12, 6×6 frames.
We moseyed on down to Shimokitazawa, a district that by all accounts is the epicentre of Tokyo hipsterdom. We found it very pleasant and not too try-hard. We arrived early morning on a Monday as the place was springing into life. A couple of hours later all the cool kids were there.
We wandered off into the ‘burbs and had some breakfast and then got completely lost which is always good fun and finally found ourselves back in the shopping district. Matty bought a dead stock army surplus jacket from a little shop called Hoochie Coochie. Nice one, Matty.

Out and about on our first full day in Tokyo and we headed to Shimokitazawa. I took these three frames with the Hasselblad walking around the shopping/hipster/teeny bopper area.
