After five fun-filled and frolicsome days in Tokyo we got on the choo choo train (shinkansen) to Kyoto. The sky was overcast so we didn’t get a view of Mount Fuji. The coffee in the pitcha was terrible. Just terrible. I’m going to call it ‘train coffee’. I still drank it though. The little breaded pork sarnie was ok.<\/p>\n

If you have a JR pass you can get the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto – all services except for the Nozomi service. We got the Hikari service from Tokyo station. Very easy.<\/p>\n
